The MINT-EC Camp in Greece is the continuation / follow-up of the MINT-EC Camp in Freiberg, Sachsen of July 2018. 15 German students will meet with 15 Greek students of the MINT-EC Partner School Ellinogermaniki (EA) to undertake various science projects that EA has been developing as part of its research and cooperation activities with partners from all over Europe. The aim of the summer course is to involve students in interdisciplinary science activities that encourages and connects different disciplines on an inquiry and collaborative manner. Students will among others:• use the school’s observatory to undertake various astronomy projects each day • build their own seismometers and will use existing data from EA’s school network of seismometers in southern Europe • design, construct and fly drones • design 3D models of virtual musical instruments and adjust its design parameters for producing computer generated sound with interpretations of the related physics and mathematics. • Additionally, students will visit the National Observatory in Athens and the Lavrion Technological and Cultural Park.

An diesem Camp können 15 Teilnehmende aus Deutschland teilnehmen. 15 Schülerinnen und Schüler aus Griechenland sind ebenfalls dabei.

Reisekosten sind durch die Teilnehmenden selbst zu tragen. Für Übernachtung und Verpflegung ist gesorgt.
